"One Hope in God's Call"

Eighth Annual Educational Institute

Global Episcopal Mission Network

June 16-18, 2004, at the Seminary of the Southwest

 

 

Diocesan mission leaders from across the United States will gather on the ETSS campus in mid-June to hear presentations by prominent international mission leaders, participate in mission-related workshops, and network and update with other missions leaders from around the Episcopal Church.

Keynote speaker is the Very Rev'd Dr. Titus Presler, seminary dean. The Rt. Rev. Dr. Ikechi Nwosu of Nigeria will lead Bible study. The Rt. Rev. Leo Frade, bishop of the Diocese of Southeast Florida will present the banquet address and the Rt. Rev. Theodore Daniels, assistant bishop of the Diocese of Texas, will be the Eucharist preacher and celebrant.

About 45 people are expected to take part in the conference. Dioceses represented include Oregon, Atlanta, Central Pennsylvania, California, Northern Indiana, Texas, Central New York, Western Massachusetts, Indianapolis, Southeast Florida, Delaware, Southern Ohio, Western New York, Idaho, Alabama, Southwest Florida, Western Louisiana, Maryland, Chicago and Kansas.

The Global Episcopal Mission Network (GEM Network) is an association of dioceses of the Episcopal Church, together with partner dioceses throughout the Anglican Communion, committed to the engagement of diocesan bishops, leadership and people in Global Mission.
