Robert Elzy Cogswell

Robert Elzy Cogswell, Director-emeritus of the Booher Library at the Seminary of the Southwest, is a teacher and a poet. He taught two elective courses – The Church against Consumerism and Website Management for Ministry – before his retirement in 2006. During his years as director he considered the Booher Library to be a central component for the both students and graduates.

A skilled photographer and published poet, he edits the Austin Poetry Society’s newsletter. Cogswell earned the Bachelor of Arts and Master of Library Science degrees from the University of Texas . He also holds the Master of Arts in Religion degree from the Lutheran Seminary Program in the Southwest.
