-- We Give You Greeting
-- The Celtic Christian Way of Prayer -- Register
for this course
The prayer traditions
that we receive from Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Brittany, Cornwall
and the Isle of Man weave poetry and prayer together. Through
becoming familiar with both the historical and modern traditions
of poetry and prayer from the Celtic lands, students will discover
ways in which praying shapes life and community. Students will
regularly participate in prayer practices and write their own
prayers, following the patterns from the tradition. In addition
to the weekly assignments for all participants, those seeking
to earn 3 hours of credit will be responsible for a book report
and a final project.
