Hal Brook Perry Award -- Given annually by the ETSS Alumni/ae Association to recognize the faithfulness of a graduate during his or her life ministry. Named in honor of the late Rev. Hal Perry, Class of 1970, who served the seminary as assistant dean, registrar and instructor in church history and liturgics from 1972 to his death in 1991.

2003 Award -- The Rev. Seth Deleery, Class of 1974, rector, St. Richard's, Round Rock, Texas

2002 Award -- The Rev. Bert Womack, Class of 1968, retired, Diocese of Colorado

Durstan R McDonald Award -- Given annually by the seminary faculty to recognize the outstanding teaching of a graduate. Named in honor of the Very Rev. Durstan R McDonald, gifted teacher and dean of ETSS from 1983 to his retirement in 2002.

2003 Award -- The Rev. Mary Earle, Class of 1987, adjunct faculty member, author and associate rector of St. Mark's Church, San Antonio, Texas

2002 Award -- Ms. Patricia Speier, Class of 1995, adjunct faculty member and director of Seton Cove in Austin.

Five receive honorary degrees at 2002 Commencement -- The ministries of five persons were honored at the May Commencement of ETSS.
