The first lay person to chair the seminary's Board of Trustees in our fifty-year history, you led the board for four years in an extra-ordinary way.

With thoughtful planning and skillful consensus building, you presided as the board envisioned and articulated what this seminary could become. Your insightful leadership did much to help foster the focus on mission that characterizes the Seminary of the Southwest today.

Your six-year service on the board was exemplary - as was past service to St. Martin's Episcopal Church, Houston, and the Diocese of Texas. Thank you, David, for contributing to our well-being.
