Restaurants near the ATLA 2005, Park Plaza Hotel

Carrabba’s Italian Grill - Italian food in Lincoln Village across the street from the hotel. 6406 N. I-H 35 (512) 419-1220	La Palapa - Not within walking distance, but a five-minute drive from the hotel. Possibly the best Mexican restaurant in Austin, serving what is certainly the best margaritas. Take Highway 290 east from I-35 perhaps a half-mile, but do it from the service road beside Highway 290.
J C's Steakhouse - A five-minute drive from the Park Plaza Hotel, but don't try to walk it.	Kimchi Sushi Restaurant - In Lincoln Village, a short walk from the Park Plaza. Korean cuisine with a sushi bar.	Serrano’s Café and Cantina - An easy walk across the street from the hotel in Lincoln Village, but not always rated high among Austin Tex-Mex restaurants.
Souper Salad - 6700 Middle Fiskville Road, a short walk north of the hotel.		Fiskville Bar and Grill - The restaurant inside the hotel.
Taj Palace - A block or two north of the hotel, an excellent East Indian restaurant with a boundless lunch buffet.	Texas Land and Cattle Steak House - 6007 North IH 35, Austin, Texas 78723, 512-451-6555 - Not within walking distance, but a five minute drive from the hotel.	IHOP - Within view of the hotel, but do not try to walk it. The intervening snarl of highway is too dangerous. Drive, or don't bother. 901 E. Koenig Lane (across Highway 290, West of I35).

Good Coffee near the Park Plaza Hotel.

Cinnamons Bakery - In Lincoln Village across Middle Fiskville Road from the Hotel. Open between 6:30 and 7:00 a.m., serves "Seattle's Best" coffee and pastries.
Capital City Café - A ten-minute walk from the hotel, but it doesn’t open till 8:30 (after our meetings start). Good coffee. 6001 Airport Blvd., Austin, TX 78752 / ( 512 ) 407 - 8450 8:30 am - 9:00 pm, Monday through Saturday 10:00 am - 6:00 pm, Sunday.	Flightpath Coffee House - Comfortable if kitschy furniture provides a good space to sit and talk, or read, or meditate. On the bus line direct from the hotel. Sunday open from 7:00 a.m. till midnight.
