Latina/Latino Theological Resources Asociación Para La Educación Teológica Hispana – An organization which exists to stimulate dialogue and collaboration among theological educators, administrators of institutions for ministerial formation, and Christian ministerial students in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico. Its office is housed in our sister seminary, Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary. Elizabeth Johnson created the initial list for a roundtable at the 2005 Conference of the American Theological Library Association, and other participants contributed their own ideas. Drew University Hispanic Institute of Theology -- Developed by Dr. Ada María Isasi Díaz, the primary work of HIT is to provide opportunities for the development of Latina/o theological and religious studies and to give visibility to this work. HIT is also interested in helping to develop a network of Latinas/os involved in the field of religious studies and theology. Hispanic Theological Initiative (HTI) -- The Hispanic Theological Initiative is an innovative program created in response to the needs voiced by religious leaders and pastors in Latino communities across the U.S. and funded by The Pew Charitable Trusts. It's purpose is to increase the availability and quality of Latino/a candidates for faculty and administrative positions in seminaries, schools of theology, and universities through a program of doctoral-level grants and awards, mentoring, and workshops. Program funds are also designated for community building and networking opportunities for all HTI awardees to interact with other Latino/a theological students, as well as Latino/a scholars across the country. Borrow one of the six DVDs from the Booher Library (DVDs 0116, Parts 1-6). For broadband online access, simply register (free of charge). Or you could buy the 52 half-hour programs for about $500.
